SRK to romance Sonakshi Sinha in 'Happy New Year'

Farah Khan is very much impressed by Sonakshi Sinha's work in 'Joker', so she has gone ahead and casted her opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her next film 'Happy New Year'.

Spotted: Shahrukh Khan with Priyanka Chopra!

The rumour mills have been in overdrive, trying to conjure a romantic link where there might be nothing more than just goodwill and genuine friendship. But the much married Shahrukh Khan and the still single Priyanka Chopra don’t care a hoot for the wagging tongues.

At the Big Star Entertainment Awards, the two were spotted locked in an animated chat in full view of the onlookers and the paparazzi cameras. Clearly, there was not a scintilla of guilty conscience in either to make anyone believe that something hanky-panky is going on between them. Rather, what we spotted was amity. Yet, one can’t ignore the moony glance that Priyanka Chopra cast at Shahrukh Khan.

The two were -- and still are -- in the thick of rumours in 2012 for their growing closeness that was allegedly not approved by Gauri Khan and her close buddies. The spat spilled out in the open when Karan Johar also entered the fray and tweeted unceremonious posts about PeeCee.

Just days back, it was reported that Shahrukh Khan was working “like a man possessed” to rope in Priyanka Chopra as his ladylove in Farah Khan’s film Happy New Year. The report has been scotched by SRK, Farah and Priyanka.

Farah's 'Happy New Year' is revealed

When buddies Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan came together after a series of rifts for their upcoming movie, “Happy New Year,” fans and media went in frenzy. After working out a six-pack ab for her first directorial venture, "Om Shanti Om,” looks like SRK is all set to create a new look for “Happy New Year,”reports TOI on Nov. 28.
Speculations have been high when it comes to “Happy New Year.” The team has delved no details about the leading lady and the extravagant star cast.
Hence, this recent statement from director Farah Khan was enough to get people talking.
Farah shared that “Happy New Year” will start in April 2013. The delay was not because of Shahrukh’s packed calendar, but, the star has to sport an absolutely new look for the movie.
She said, "In Happy New Year, you will see a different SRK. He will have long, almost shoulder-length hair and a healthy beard.”
“…Since he has a clean shaven look in Chennai Express, we have to wait until he wraps up his shoot and grows his hair for my film."
SRK wowed fans with his long hair and bearded look in “Don 2" and swooned with his intense mood in “Jab Tak Hai Jaan.” It will be interesting to see what the friends come up with this time.

SRK wants to work with Priyanka in Farah Khan's film Happy New Year Read more at: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/shah-rukh-khan-wants-priyanka-chopra-in-farah-khans-happy-new-year/1/238170.html

Now this news is something that might surprise you. Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly very keen on pairing up with Priyanka Chopra for Farah Khan's new filmHappy New Year.

According to reports in Mumbai Mirror, SRK is flexing all his muscles to ensure that she is paired with him in the film. Farah Khan has though remained tight-lipped about the developments.

Priyanka was the original choice for the movie before the infamous SRK-Gauri-KJo episode went live.

As per the report, Deepika, Katrina, Priyanka and Kareena were all in the reckoning. But all other actors are reportedly busy and Deepika is already doing Chennai Express with SRK, PC becomes the obvious choice.

Also, Shah Rukh really wants Priyanka on board for the movie.

Priyanka and Shah Rukh's friendship hit the rocks early this year when the actress was accused of putting Gauri's paradise in trouble, owing to her friendship with the superstar. Priyanka was heavily criticised  for her 'proximity' to SRK.
In a recent Tv interview Shah Rukh Khan had spoken about Priyanka and said that she is very close to him.
"To me what is most disturbing is that a lady who has worked with me has been questioned and somewhere down the line has not been shown the respect that I show her, or to all women. I think it is disrespectful and I am extremely sorry about that, sorry means not because of the things that I have done but because she is a friend," he said in the interview.

"She was a little girl who started her Miss World crowning with me. We have shared some of the nicest moments onscreen and off it. It is extremely unfortunate for me, you know, a friendship gets a little spoilt," he also said.
Priyanka Chopra was reportedly moving to Salman camp recently. Priyanka even said publicly that Salman is her new 'favourite' co-star.

Shah Rukh Khan & Farah Khan trash TOI report about Happy New Year's casting, call it a "lie" & "crap"

A recent Times of India report (citing an anonymous source) suggested that Shah Rukh Khan is keen to cast Priyanka Chopra in Happy New Year despite opposition from his family and friends. SRK and Farah Khan (director of Happy New Year) would have none of it and both of them took to Twitter to trash the TOI report as a "lie" and "fiction" of tabloids and as "made up crap" written by journalists.
SRK fired back and tweeted, "When a person's words & body language are in conflict they are usually lying. A lot like the headline words of tabloids & their body of content..." and "Most of the time ppl don't want to get to know you, instead they want to tell you, who they think you are. Let them maintain their fictions about you."
Farah Khan also reacted angrily and tweeted, "Every morning I get up and read some made up crap about HNY...when the 'journos' have decided who our leading lady will be kindly inform us too!"
Looks like the usually calm SRK had enough of what is written about him on a regular basis and finally decided to take the matter in his own hands by clearing the air about such reports directly on Twitter without third party/media spin. Farah Khan also appears to have had enough false media speculation about her next directorial venture and took to Twitter to set the matter straight.

Is it ‘Happy New Year’ for Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra?

Mumbai: Well, this is something that might surprise one and all. Shah Rukh Khan, who had recently expressed his feelings for “special” friend Priyanka Chopra, now wishes to work with her in Farah Khan’s film ‘Happy New Year’.

Priyanka and Shah Rukh’s friendship hit the rocks early this year when the actress was accused of putting Mrs SRK’s (Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri) paradise in trouble, owing to her “friendship” with the superstar.

Talking to TOI, a source revealed, “Deepika, Katrina, Priyanka and Kareena were all in the reckoning.”

But since all the other actors are pre-occupied and have no dates left to sign a new film, Priyanka becomes the only option by default.

“With PeeCee trying hard to get a toe-hold in the Salman Khan camp, SRK tried his best to leverage his association with his ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-star Katrina (former ladylove of Salman Khan). But she stonewalled all his efforts,” added the source.

So will SRK take PC on board out of exasperation or does he really intend to work with the actress? Only time will tell.

Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year' is about dance competition

The ace choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan is impatient these days. Reason: she is to find her cast for her much talked and much delayed project 'Happy New Year'.

While Shah Rukh Khan and Boman Irani have been finalised the hunt is on for the leading lady. Talks are that the story of 'Happy New Year' is about five male friends who end up participating in a dance competition in spite of being no good in dancing. These men with the help of a bar dancer win the world dance championship.

Names of several A-list actresses have been making rounds for the female lead, among which were Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra. Besides, speculations were rife that Farah might even rope in a face for the heroine's role.

However, the filmmaker apparently is surprised with all these rumours and in an interview she denied that she has not yet found the right girl for the film.

"There is a special requirement for the role of a bar dancer and for that I need a very good actress who can who can dance very well and look hot at the same time," quoted Farah who also added to say that she won't be casting any newcomer as a fresh girl wouldn't be suitable for the role.

It is said that the leading lady will also get to do some action scenes and so Farah is keen that she finds someone who is graceful and sporty at the same time.
