Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year' back on track

Mumbai: Farah Khan's re-union with Shah Rukh Khan is only a matter of time, reveals her close friend. Before he left for London to shoot for a Yash Chopra film, SRK dropped in one evening to see the choreographer-turned filmmaker's new residence and spend time with her three kids, says the source.
"It was as though nothing had ever happened. Farah and SRK bonded effortlessly. Shah Rukh asked Farah when she'd like to start Happy New Year (HNY) for his company Red Chillies Entertainment. Farah said, 'Whenever you want.' It was as casual that," says the source.
Khan was planning to film HNY immediately after Om Shanti Om. Apparently even Amitabh Bachchan had a plum role in the movie while the female lead was likely to be played by Katrina Kaif or Kareena Kapoor. So what went wrong with the best friends? Blame it on Khan's box-office dud Tees Maar Khan (TMK).
Fight over film
"It is said Shah Rukh sat on the script for three years. On the contrary, he kept advising Farah to can the script. He was certain it wouldn't work. That's why he didn't green light the project. However, Farah was fixated on the idea of doing TMK with or without King Khan. She found the script funny, while Shah Rukh thought it was strange that Farah found the script for Tees Maar Khan funny," says the source.
It is unlikely that Khan would make another film without SRK in the near future. Having extended an olive branch to his sister's husband, Shirish Kunder, after they had a brawl at a pub two months ago, SRK has made it clear that his professional Khan personal rapport with Farah would be entirely independent of Kunder.
