Shahrukh Khan to face competition in Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’

The superstar’s not the only actor to play the lead role in the most-talked about film

We have the latest gossip on Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan’s ambitious project Happy New Year. Our well-informed sources revealed to us that the film won’t have just one, but five lead actors! Obviously, one of them will be played by the superstar, who is also producing the project.
The choreographer turned filmmaker has got her Shirin Farhan Ki Toh Nikal Padi co-star Boman Irani to play one of the lead characters. Actors for the remaining roles are still undecided. But if rumours are to be believed, Farah intends to cast Abhishek Bachchan (he acted with SRK in Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna) in one of the main roles. And she wants to introduce a new face too.
The latest development confirms that Happy New Year is progressing as per plan. By the way, rumour was that the superstar allocated an entire floor in the new premises of the Red Chillies corporate office to his friend-turned-foe-turned-friend-again, Farah.
As soon as SRK wraps up shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, he will start work on Farah’s film. In the interim his filmmaker friend will have the cast and production plans in place.
Looks like the next year is going to start on a happy note for the old buddies!
